Breaking Eastleigh Hampshire

A sad day for staff and customers as another public house faced a tough decision to call time at the bar for the last time

The Dog & Crook in Brambridge, near Eastleigh has faced a tough time through the pandemic financially and dealing with internal problems meaning the owners just cannot continue.
The Dog and Crook country style pub was loved by many and used as a venue to host every occasion over the years, which now must come to an end.
The Dog and Crook said;
“It is with great sadness that I have had to close the Dog and Crook from today.
Covid was not kind to us financially & since reopening we have had to deal with one major problem after another, the financial straw was the loss of our kitchen for 9 days due to the extractor fan failing.
This is not a decision I have made lightly; we as a team have worked so hard to make the pub what it is and of course, we could not have achieved this without our lovely customers.
I would appreciate your understanding and kindness towards my team and me whilst we finalise the closing down of the pub.
We thank you all for your support and wish you well. Kind regards from Karen and the amazing team at the Dog & Crook.
Please respect that is a difficult time for the team.
Thank you all we will contact all our Christmas bookings this week to refund deposits.

Please be patient with us we have a lot to sort out at this time!”
The Public House will now be handed back to the brewery, and its future is uncertain.
