Collision investigators are renewing an appeal for information following the death of a pedestrian in Rochester.
The victim, a man in his 30s, died following a collision with a brown Nissan Qashqai in Maidstone Road, close to the junction with Hooper’s Road, at around 2am on Saturday 1 August 2020.
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to review the circumstances and have identified from CCTV that five vehicles, and several pedestrians, were travelling near to the scene at around the time of the collision.
Police Constable Jamie Woodhams, the investigating officer, said: ‘The people travelling close to the scene could have important information that can help us with our enquiries and I would encourage them to get in contact at the earliest opportunity.
‘Additionally, I would ask anyone who was travelling in the area between 12.15am and 2.15am to review any dash cam they may have and contact us – particularly if it shows a man dressed in a blue shirt and grey trousers walking nearby.
Likewise, any privately held CCTV could also provide important information.’
