Scientific specialist from Surrey Fire and rescue are working with Police at the ongoing Premier Inn incident in Sunbury

Police are currently responding to an incident at the Premier Inn on Staines Rd in Sunbury along with colleagues from the Surrey fire and  South East Coast ambulance service.
There is a cordon in place at the scene. they were called at just after 3.20pm on Thursday afternoon.
Officers do not believe there is any wider threat to the public & we will update you when we can.
Surrey fire and rescue have also mobilised their DIM ” Detection, identification and monitoring ” unit to the incident and specialists on board are said to be assisting officers to identify the chemical involved. Many locals have said that the hotel has been thrown into Police lockdown and the hotel has been evacuated. A number of cordons have been put in place.
Both Surrey Police and Surrey Fire and Rescue have been contacted for comment.
